All permanent cosmetic procedures require 2 sessions. Your 6–12 week follow-up is essential to assess pigment retention and make any needed adjustments. This second session also helps your results last longer and heal more evenly. Please note: touch-ups must be booked within that 6–12 week window. Additional charges will apply if scheduled outside that timeframe.

→ In the hours following your procedure your brows will appear much darker and bolder than they will heal due to oxidation in the surface layer of your skin. Your brows could also appear warmer in color. You may experience some redness or swelling around the treated area, this typically disappears within 48 hours.
→ Around day 5 you may notice some flaking in the treated area, do not pick at it, doing so can result in loss of pigment in those areas. Brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. You may notice that some areas may appear very light or even to have lost pigment entirely after they have peeled, the epidermis will be thicker causing muting, hiding or diffusing of pigment underneath. The epidermis will normalize over the next 4-6 weeks and softened pigment should appear more clearly on the surface of the skin.
→ At 6 weeks your brows will be fully healed. Whatever pigment that does not return will be addressed at your touch up appointment or if you’d prefer darker, bolder brows we can always add more color or dimension during that appointment!
→ After care includes no sweating or working out for 10-14 days, no makeup on the eyebrows, no direct sun exposure and no water submersion. You must be careful to keep them dry at all times except while you are cleaning them or doing your aftercare.
Please note: it is very important to moisturize and exfoliate daily in the week leading up to your appointment. The results are best on smooth, hydrated lips and chapped lips are very hard to tattoo and may cause patchy results.
If your appointment is booked during an outbreak of cold sores on your lips, the procedure may not be done. Please be aware that if you have the simplex virus herpes, you may awaken an outbreak following this treatment. It is highly recommended to take an anti-viral medication such as Zivorax 5 days before, then the day of, then 5 days after or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
